A new study shows that relaxing may be the key to slimming down!

Apparently, participants who took part in activities designed to help them unwind, including meditation and yoga, could lose weight without going on a diet. Scientists believe that feelings of stress and anxiety can help to increase the desire for surgery and fatty foods, which can lead to a high calorie intake.


How to Meditate

Meditation is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the conditioned, "thinking" mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. There are many different meditation methods.

At the core of meditation is the goal to focus and eventually quiet your mind. As you progress, you will find that you can meditate anywhere and at any time, accessing an inner calm no matter what's going on around you. You will also find that you can better control your reactions to things as you become increasingly aware of your thoughts (letting go of anger, for example). But first, you have to learn to tame your mind.

Simple home SPA..

SPA mmg la mahal n bleh habis byk duit kl nk g tiap2 minggu. Cara yg save bajet adalah buat spa sendiri kat rumah. Walaupn sebenarnye agak pemalas kn, tp kl fikir2 kl kite tak jage badan sdiri, sape lg yg nk jage.hahahha~

how to choose fresh Fish?

  • Smell it. A fresh fish should smell like clean water, or a touch briny or even like cucumbers. Under no circumstances should you buy a nasty smelling fish. Cooking won't improve it.

  • Look at the gills. They should be a rich red. If the fish is old, they will turn the color of faded brick.

In general, choose fresh prawns with their entire shells still nicely attached together, like those in the pictures above. Those that are loose are not as fresh. The prawns should feel firm too. If the shells cling to the meat when cooked, they are not fresh.

from JOGJAKARTA to BANDUNG

Nk gi Bandung dari Jogja bleh ambik flight, train, travel (sewa kereta), bus.. mcm biase, paling mahal flight n paling murah bus. Perjalanan jogja->bandung tu dlm 1jam (flight), 7-8 jam (train), 6-7 jam (travel &bus). Aku pernah try semua, paling best mmg la flight, tp leceh skit sbb direct flight jogja-bandung ade 1 je sehari. Dh la kul 12 tengah hari, rugi mase jg la kl tgh hri dh kene blk jogja kn.. kl naik travel & bus, mmg aku spesis mabuk yg muntah sampai 10 kali sbb driver indonesian ni spesis drive mcm roller coaster. Solution aku mmg terpakse makan ubat tido, yg makan terus tido mcm pengsan. hahaa~

Fav aku gi Bandung ngan train! train kat indonesia ni ade Executive, Business, Ekonomi. Yg aku slalu ambik Executive sbb seat die selesa, kl business tu kurang selesa skit tp ok la.. harge pn sbenanye beza tak banyak, if executive (Rp 200ribu /one way = RM 75), business (Rp 150ribu/ one way = RM 55). Train kat Indonesia mmg takde yg tempat tido..semua pn seat je..

Why it’s aging you: Fish and healthy oils (like olive) offer the best source of omega-3 essential fatty acids ,which help prevent memory loss.
“These fatty acids are part of the brain’s building blocks,” explains Andrew Weil, MD, director of the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. “If you’re not getting enough in your diet, the architecture of the brain becomes weak, and brain function, including memory, suffers.” But it’s not only the amount of omega-3s that’s important; the balance between omega-3s and omega-6s is equally crucial. “Our diets are flooded with omega-6 fatty acids, mostly from processed foods,” says Dr. Weil. “The more omega-6s you eat, the more omega-3s you need to balance your levels. Most of us aren’t eating enough omega-3s and are eating too many omega-6s.”


Mistake #4: You favor packaged foods over whole.
Why it’s aging you: Packaged foods are high in blood pressure–spiking sodium—and fresh fruits and veggies contain blood pressure–lowering potassium.

“Having too little potassium in your diet magnifies the toxic effects of excessive salt intake,” Dr. Fruge says. Most processed foods have added sodium but no extra potassium, so if your meals come from boxes, you’re likely at risk. Worsening the situation, when your kidneys try to flush out the salt, you lose even more potassium. “The imbalance damages blood vessels, driving up blood pressure,” Dr. Fruge notes. “Eating better can correct the problem—I’ve seen people drop thirty points in three days.”
